Enterprise Asset Management System
Description
Bexar County, Texas contracted with Data Transfer Solutions to collect roadway asset data related to their traffic infrastructure. The project consisted of collecting Right of Way assets including signs, sidewalks and guardrails.
DTS’ Mobile Asset Collection (MAC) System was employed to capture street level images for use in asset extraction. This image database was comprised of industry standard JPGs, with geo-referenced information being delivered via an ESRI Geodatabase and linked to the CarteGraph Asset Management System.
This data collection process allows for the simultaneous collection of Asset data using geospatially referenced imagery, from which positional and attribute information can be extracted. The DTS team provided efficient and cost-effective data extraction in a GIS environment that will be seamlessly integrated into the County’s Asset Management system Software and deployed throughout the County to proactively manage their asset infrastructure. DTS also integrated with the County’s web viewer.
