South West Florida Water Management District
Description
Earth Eye provided technical services, production capacity, and technologies needed to plan, execute and manage Photogrammetric, LiDAR, GIS, Ecological and overall QA/QC of the project. This project consisted of floodplain mapping and hydro-enforcement of water bodies to support the District's flood studies. Earth Eye provided a wide range of topographic and planimetric mapping skills that will provided the District with cost effective solutions throughout the contract term.
Earth Eye has developed software and workflows (EarthView), specifically focused on creating accurate surface models and hydro-enforced terrains for the District. These tools were used to compile breaklines and hydro-enforced terrain for approximately 600 tiles (3,000 sq. miles). In addition to the District’s standard LiDAR project deliverables, EarthView was also used to automatically generate ESRI float grids, project metadata and 3D breakline files.
